The Ottava Surgical System by Johnson & Johnson is a groundbreaking medical robotics technology designed to assist in minimally invasive surgical procedures.
It features table-mounted robotic arms that allow for precise movements and a greater range of motion than traditional laparoscopic tools and competing robotic systems, making it suitable for a wide range of complex procedures in a minimal footprint.
I designed Ottava's robotic arm for implementation, worked with the arm engineering team to improve access and usability of physical touchpoints, choreographed the arm deployment, produced C3 A-side surfacing, and rendered final communication assets.
