What if we could design an oxygen therapy system to unlock new data streams and better understand interstitial lung diseases?

IPF is an irreversible, unpredictable and incurable disease.  And it’s relatively unknown. It starts with scarring of the lungs that prohibits them from properly moving oxygen into the bloodstream.

IDEO team's objective was to understand the lives and challenges of those with IPF, their caregivers, and families to discover key opportunities that can create meaningful improvement.

Our original objective:

1. Figure how we can help these people until there is a cure…what can we do to improve quality of life

2. Share what we’ve learned about this condition from the perspective of the patient with a broader audience so more companies, stakeholders will want to get involved in IPF (MUST BE VIRAL)

3. Provide our thinking and guidance (in the form of briefs) to the opportunity areas so that others who want to get involved to help with this have some of the background and understanding that we have
